Nutritional Dermatology: Advances for Acne, Acne Inversa, Eczema, and Psoriasis

Seminar Series

Event Description

Nutritional therapy plays an important role in the management of inflammatory skin disorders, however, in the United Kingdom, over 90% of dermatologists feel they need additional nutrition training and access to specialist support from nutrition professionals. There is an important and unmet need for disease-specific, evidence-based training on the role of nutrition in dermatology.

This seminar series provides an update and review of the nutritional malmanagement of some of the most encountered clinical challenges; acne, acne inversa (hidradenitis suppurativa), eczema (atopic dermatitis), and psoriasis. You will explore the clinical evidence for adverse food reactions and elimination diets, therapeutic dietary interventions, food supplements, nutrient-drug interactions, and topical therapies.

  • Cover clinical studies guiding evidence-based nutritional therapy for acne, acne inversa, eczema, and psoriasis.
